Mr. Demme has over twenty-five years of experience in the environmental, health and safety consulting field.  He has extensive experience with ASTM 1527-13, CERCLA, RCRA, TSCA, CWA, CAA and OSHA regulations.  Has been involved with the remediation and cleanup of contaminated soil and groundwater.

Key Projects

Project Manager during the remediation and restoration activities involving the excavation, removal and off-site disposal of arsenic contaminated soils.  Led and directed the closure of two 2,000-gallon heating oil underground storage tanks, and the closure of private water well at this NYSDEC State Superfund/FMC project.  

Site Safety Manager ensuring the environment health and safety of construction personnel at a NYSDEC State Superfund site involving the remediation of lead impacted sediment from Cayuga Creek.

Technical Project Manager for environmental risk evaluations for financial institutions, investment firms, real estate developers, commercial mortgage backed security (“CMBS”) firms and real estate finance companies for foreclosures, pre-lending and purchasing.

Environmental Geologist providing oversight at the former Spaulding Fiber plant for the Erie County Industrial Development Agency (“ECIDA”). Oversaw the day to day efforts of a remedial contractor during this high profile excavation and disposal of contaminated fill materials/soils. 

Project Manager, conducting over 500 Phase One environmental site assessments for clients in California, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia. Environmental assessments were conducted for banking institutions, land developers and law firms. Projects included apartment complexes, automotive painting and collision, dry cleaners, farms, golf courses, hotels, lumberyards, metal plating, nursing homes, printing, paint manufacturer, private airport shopping plazas and trucking facilities.

Project Manager for numerous RCRA waste characterization and compliance projects in New York and throughout the United States.
